Kareena Rules to Healthy Eating
- Avoid coffee, tea and cigarettes.
- Start the day with fruit, nuts and milk.
- Eat very small portions as often as you want during the day.
- Finish dinner at least two hours before going to sleep.
- Eat what your body craves for , but eat in moderation
- Substitute whole fruit for fruit juices.
- While travelling, be flexible in what you eat. There is low calorie local food which you can substitute in your regular diet. For example, substitute steamed aapams and idlis for rotis when in the south, momos in the north east and maize-jowar rotis in Central India.

Kareena Kapoor swears by yoga in keeping her fit. She exercises every day, no matter where she may be for 60-90 minutes. Kareena does at least 50 to 100 sets of Suryanamaskars for overall fitness. She concentrates on a specific body part each day and does yogasanas to exercise that specific part. Her routine consists of the following asanas:
- Naukasana to exercise the abs.
- Virabhadrasana for toning the legs and for better posture.
- Bhujangasana for toning the spine and for flexibility.
- Dhanurasana to tone the thighs and calves.
- Paschimottasana for better balance and to relieve stress.
- Meditation exercises.
The cooling down exercise includes Shavasana and Pranayam.
